Background:
This portion of the meeting
explained
of how this study evolved from the Coast 2050 Plan. |

Goal: This
study is intended to gain statewide and national commitment to establishment
of a large scale restoration program. It will determine the ground
rules of this program and chart a path to implementation. |

Study Process:
An explanation of how the LCA will develop alternatives and recommend
a plan of action for coastal restoration. |

This
is a composite of the presentataions made by the USACE on Progress
to Date. As the meetings progressed, more introductary slides were
added to clarify the presentation. Some minor corrections have also
been included. Topics include keystone strategies selected from
the Coast 2050 Plan, measures developed to implement strategies,
range of alternatives developed, and rationale for development of
alternatives. |
